We were all fast asleep when suddenly there was a loud thump coming from the direction of the DES asylum’s front door. We opened the door and saw something that startled us all… Someone has abandoned a poor defenseless sheep right there on our doorstep!

It was clear that he had no home and that no-one was taking care of him…it broke our hearts :’(

He was so cute that we immediately agreed to keep him and to take good care of him.

Soon we will teach this sheep:

  1. Ho to overdose on AC, without physically dying
  2. How to frag human beings
  3. How to use those pesky IRC commands
  4. How to survive in the DES asylum clinic

…So please say hello to our new furry member, “schaf” !

We have been adding new content to our blog over the past few months, our newest content is a brand spanking new CAR! no wait that’s not right oh what was it now… Aha! it was our new Mapping page.

We thought it would be a timely reminder and also showcase to present once again our new and revised mapping page, since we had a theme update the last mapping page had some custom styling to it.

It does not fit

It didn’t quite fit in when the new theme that was introduced. Now we removed the styles of the old theme and tuned it into the new theme.
The mapping page is broken into three sections:

  • Official Maps
  • Custom Maps
  • Contributing Sites

Please turn around

You will find there is a screenshot of each map so you can get a preview, just like when you watch the girl next door.
This update has also brought about a menu update to the navigation. We have updated the Downloads menu and moved it to the top level of navigation. This menu already contain links to our uniforms and some custom skins, but most importantly it NOW! contains the links to a direct download on all the custom maps.

We will be looking to update this when we create more maps.

We currently have 9 official AssaultCube maps and 21 custom maps on our new Mapping page.
