I am writing a set of rules for our public IRC channel to hopefully maintain a level of control there in the future. Any or all violations of these rules may result in being kicked or banned for some time so please be respectful of the rules this will lay out and everything will be fine.

• DO NOT spam the channel, you don’t need to repeat yourself. We do know how to scroll. Please do not type in UPPER CASE.
• No Multiple connections unless specified for a good cause, i.e Testing another irc client or of course a timeout and you appear to be connected more than once (Hint: try /msg AuthServ GHOST GameSurgeAccount Password).
• DO NOT be demeaning to others whether that be RACE, Gender, Sexuality or of any kind. You will be banned.
• Respect the channel operators.
• If you must advertise your website or any form of advertisement, please ask an operator before proceeding (Note: Rule #1 applies.DO NOT SPAM).
• No bots. Ask a channel operator before connection. Your bot will be kicked otherwise.
• DO NOT flame with someone else. Take it elsewhere we don’t care (Hint: /msg NICKNAME your message, your own little private chat have fun).
• DO NOT post links to harmful websites or anything similar (This includes sites that fall under rule #3, you will be banned).
• DO NOT ask for operator status in the channel. You will not get it.
• Try to be civil, everyone can make jokes. But do not make a joke out of everything, there are times for fun but there are also times for serious talk.
• DO NOT try to avoid a channel ban. You will be banned again and an extension to the ban will be put in place.
• No one cares about your trash talk, take it somewhere else.
• Watch what you say about an operator of another channel or a DES Member (Note: You will be surprised at who knows who).
• Try and speak English to the best of your ability. We do understand that English may not be your first language, we will try our best to understand. (Note: We can also try to use google translator )
• If you are asked to take your talk somewhere else, this is not meant to be an attack towards yourself we just believe it is best suited elsewhere.
• If you need help just state your questions. If you wish for it to be taken privately you can ask the user if they wish for this to be taken private. Alternatively you can use our forums Private Message board http://forum.des-clan.net.
• Operators who ban/kick someone with no reason may have their status revoked (Unless this is in good, innocent and clean fun (Note: This might require some proof)).
• DO NOT be offensive
• Obey the rules set out by GameSurge Network staff
• Keep these rules in mind. DO NOT continually break the rules just because you got by once
